Growing up as an aspiring singer and musician in Los Angeles, Nathan Vann Walton’s career in music began at the age of 19, when he was signed to Motown Records as a member of the singing group, “SOL.” From that point on, Nathan’s career in music flourished. In 1997, Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, signed Nathan to his publishing company, Edmonds Entertainment, and he began writing and producing songs for recording artists such as Whitney Houston, Jamie Foxx and Snopp Dogg. Nathan also continued to sing professionally, touring with Babyface as a background singer, and singing background vocals on countless recording artists records including Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, and Common, among others. In 2004, Nathan began writing and producing music cues for a variety of television shows and films, including six seasons of “College Hill”, “Lil’ Kim – Countdown to Lockdown”, “DMX – Soul Of A Man”, “First In”, Discovery Channel’s – “Son’s Of Winter” and the theatrical films, “Who’s Your Caddy?” and “Beerfest.”
In 2009, Nathan attended UCLA and completed their program for “Electronic Composition for Film and Television”. Since transitioning to his true passion – music composition – Nathan has scored the feature films “No Tell Motel,” “A Haunting At Silver Falls”, “Blood Shed,” and “Depraved”, as well as the short film, “Zizi and Honeyboy.” He has also composed additional music in the films, “Who’s Your Caddy” and “Beerfest”.
